Entrepreneur networking event set for Mosinee

An evening networking event for entrepreneurs is scheduled for Oct. 21 at Mosinee Brewing Company in Mosinee, according to an announcement from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Emerging Entrepreneur Night runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at 401 4th St., the university said. Admission is free, but advance registration is required at emergingentrepreneur.eventbrite.com; complimentary food and beverages will be provided, according to the announcement.

The event is intended for entrepreneurs at any stage, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs and small-business owners, and is designed as an open-house networking opportunity, the university said. Attendees can drop in at any time during the event to connect with other entrepreneurs and learn about business-development resources and economic-development tools, according to the announcement.

Representatives expected to attend include the Central Wisconsin Economic Development Fund, Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce, MCDEVCO, the Small Business Development Center, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation and UW-Stevens Point’s Sentry School of Business and Economics, the university said. The event is part of Build the Basin, a regional advancement effort in Northcentral Wisconsin led by the Sentry School, according to the announcement.
