The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce announced Oct. 12 that it has partnered with Wendy Furrer and Host: Central Wisconsin to provide Chamber members with an enhanced Community Concierge program in the Wausau area, according to the Chamber.

The Chamber said the program is intended to help local businesses connect job candidates and their families with the greater Wausau community and support candidates as they consider relocating to the region. The Chamber described the program and its annual relocation guide as tools for attracting and retaining talent.

The Chamber said services include customized community tours with school visits, monthly check-ins for new employees and their families, relocation assistance, career support for accompanying spouses and partners, and welcome gifts. The Chamber said a full menu of program offerings is available through its website.

Furrer said in the announcement that candidates are looking for both career opportunities and a community that fits their quality-of-life needs. She also said she enjoys meeting candidates who are interviewing for jobs or have recently been hired and introducing them to the area.

For information about the program, the Chamber directs readers to WausauChamber.com or Wendy Furrer at 715-573-8668. The Chamber said information about its annual relocation guide is also available on its website.
